CASA of DuPage County invites community members and local businesses to experience Change a Child’s Story: A Night of Magic & Possibility on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.
Inspired by the magic of storytelling and the possibilities created when a community comes together, CASA’s signature fundraising event will offer an unforgettable evening of entertainment, connection and generosity. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, dancing and immersive experiences, including an extraordinary performance by mentalist Nick Gasparro.
While the evening promises plenty of surprises, its purpose is deeply meaningful: raising critical funds to support CASA of DuPage County’s work on behalf of children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
When appointed by a judge to a child’s case, CASA of DuPage County assigns a trained volunteer advocate who builds a consistent relationship with the child, gathers important information and advocates for their best interests in court and throughout the community. Gala proceeds help CASA recruit, train and support these dedicated volunteers so more children can have a caring adult standing beside them during an incredibly difficult time.
“Every child deserves someone who believes in them, stands beside them and helps them see what is possible for their future,” said Mattie Colan, Executive Director of CASA of DuPage County. “This gala is a celebration of what can happen when our community chooses to become part of a child’s story. Whether someone attends, sponsors the event or makes a contribution, their support helps create brighter possibilities for children across DuPage County.”
Last year’s gala welcomed longtime supporters and introduced many new guests to CASA’s mission. This year, CASA hopes to build on that momentum by bringing together even more individuals and businesses committed to standing alongside children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
