Other Ways to Help
Board of Directors
CASA of DuPage County board members are volunteers from the community who believe powerless children need powerful friends. Primarily a fundraising board, the Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring the viability of the agency, fundraising and governance. Board members are elected to 2-year terms, with three terms being the longest a member can stay on board. Meetings are held six times a year and new board members can be elected at any point during the year. Contact Suzanne Skala, Executive Director at email@example.com or call 630-221-0889, ext. 305 to learn more about board membership.
Do you like to contribute to a good cause while meeting new people and having a great time? If so, then consider joining one of CASA of DuPage County’s two event committees. The Golf Committee convenes in February to put together the spring Golf Outing and the Gala Committee begins working in June to plan and execute the annual fall Gala. These two events are very important as they generate more than 40% of CASA of DuPage County’s annual revenue. For more information about these opportunities, contact Vicki Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CASA of DuPage County hosts a Golf Outing in the spring and a Gala in the fall as part of its annual fundraising efforts. Over 500 members of the community attend the two events and sponsorships are a great way to support a worthy cause while increasing your visibility. For as little as $300 up to $7,500, you can partner with CASA of DuPage County as a “Powerful Friend to Powerless Children” to help execute one or both of these premier events. To take advantage of this wonderful way to give back while highlighting your business contact Vicki Shaw at email@example.com.

You can choose your own amount and donate securely. CASA of DuPage County is a 501©3 not for profit and is funded solely by private contributions, major events and grants. Any contribution you make is sincerely appreciated. CASA of DuPage County is the only program of its kind in the county and provides this service at no charge to the tax payers, the courts or the families involved. CASA of DuPage County accepts charitable stock donations. Although every gift to CASA is tax-deductible, donations of stock significantly increase your tax benefits. By donating appreciated securities (that you've held for longer than one year), you can avoid paying the mandatory capital gains taxes if you had instead sold the stock and donated the cash proceeds. For more information, contact Suzanne Skala at email@example.com or call 630-221-0889, ext. 305.
First, find out whether or not your employer has a Matching Gift Program. Then, double or even triple the value of your contribution to CASA of DuPage County. Just ask your resource department for a matching form, send it to us, and we'll complete the paperwork. Many companies even make charitable donations that match the time you spend volunteering. Click here to search for your company name to find out if they match gifts.
Planned giving (or "charitable gift planning") refers to the process of making a charitable gift of estate assets to one or more nonprofit organizations. These contributions require consideration and planning in light of the donor's overall estate plan. For more information on Memorial and Tribute Gifts or Planned Giving, please contact Suzanne Skala at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 630-221-0889, ext. 305.
Collect Gift Cards
The children served have limited resources, we are collecting gift cards for children and teens to purchase needed items. Gift cards give children the power of choice to select the items they would like, as so often they have no opportunity for personal choice for their clothing or other needed items.
Please consider collecting gift cards in your workplace, church, community group, family or friends for children and teenagers. Your efforts will be immediately impacting the lives of vulnerable children in your community. $20-$25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, Amazon are the most versatile. Please contact Vicki Shaw for more information at email@example.com or call 847-414-9492.
